Why everyone is babbling about him: Henry has fallen off NBA draft boards a bit since his high school days. He was one of the top prospects in the country just one year ag0–we’re talking McDonald’s All-American, the whole shebang. He’s definitely an example of a player who lost out because of the new “one and done” rule.
Still, Henry wasn’t a bad player at Kansas. He was a starter for a very good Kansas squad, and yes, his stats weren’t elite, but I think his so-so freshman campaign is being completely overblown. Henry has an NBA-ready body, he’s a lefty (always a bonus), and can stroke the three. Those are three elements for success at the next level.
Final Projection: There’s a good chance Xavier could fall as far as pick 15, and he shouldn’t. Looking back at this draft, Henry will be the consensus “steal” pick for whoever grabs him. I expect New Orleans to take him, but you never know.
For later round guys I’m really giong to be watching for Jordan Crawford out of Xavier
Crawford definitely could end up as a nice player too. He can flat out score the ball.
